About this month
What every family should know about Rajab
Rajab is the seventh month and the third of the four sacred months. Its name comes from ta'zim — to honour — because the Arabs honoured it even before Islam.
It is remembered as the month of Isra and Mi'raj, when the five daily prayers were given as a gift to this ummah. Guarding salah is therefore the truest way to honour Rajab.
