About this month
What every family should know about Rabi al-Awwal
Rabi al-Awwal is the month in which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in Makkah, and the month in which he arrived in Madinah after the Hijrah — the event from which the Islamic calendar counts.
The best way to honour this month is to study the seerah, increase salawat upon him ﷺ and revive a forgotten sunnah in the home.
