About this month
What every family should know about Safar
Safar takes its name from the empty houses of Arabia when tribes left to travel and trade. Pre-Islamic Arabs considered it unlucky, and the Prophet ﷺ explicitly rejected that superstition.
For a believer no month carries bad fortune. Safar is a month like any other: a month to work honestly, travel with dua and place complete reliance on Allah.
